After 5 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I found the wonder of mothering slowly starting to get crowded out by the mundane feeling. I realized our world seems to surround people with the negative, and complaining about blessings seems totally acceptable. So I decided to fight against that "normalcy" and focus only on the positive. I look back to my first year as a mom when everything was new and keeping house was fun and I aim to have that attitude again. This blog is my outlet to showcase the daily miracles that surround me in my blessed life as a stay-at-home mom so that I will never forget the wonder of it all.

Meet Twoey

Kian's new buddy.
"Baby Twoey" got his name because we were teaching Kian to answer "two" when asked how old he is.  When I asked him what his baby's name was, he responded "two"!  :)  "Two" turned into "Twoey", making it a little less confusing.  And so, here's Baby Twoey.

His hair is a bit out of control.  There's a lot of yarn on that little head.  It looks great here, but Kian has a tendency of carrying Twoey around by his hair which pulls that mop straight up, where it stays in a large poof.  Poor Twoey looks electrocuted half the time.  I'm trying to fix this, but my attempts have  been futile.  I think I'll just accept that its just part of what makes Twoey, Twoey.

Here's Twoey's fancy upcycled pants.  They're made from pants which used to be my Nana's.

And a matching pair for Kian.  They look a bit weird on him with his cloth diaper.  I think the problem is the bulge of the cloth plus the straight long pockets.  The cloth diaper puffs those nice, long, straight pockets out in a funny way.  BUT...that may be remedied soon.  Potty training begins next week.  Wish me luck.  He's beyond ready.

  1. Great job on your doll! My daughter still has the very first doll I made her in her bed. Starlight is her name and she is in sad shape, but my daughter doesn't seem to love her any less.

We want to do some dolls this year, but have committed to renovating some of the present rag dolls, so we are giving them some new yarn wigs.
I'm due middle of November in about 6 weeks I guess...it feels like forever away - there is so much to do, before that day comes.
Great to visit here again! Your homeschooling looks wonderful!
