After 5 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I found the wonder of mothering slowly starting to get crowded out by the mundane feeling. I realized our world seems to surround people with the negative, and complaining about blessings seems totally acceptable. So I decided to fight against that "normalcy" and focus only on the positive. I look back to my first year as a mom when everything was new and keeping house was fun and I aim to have that attitude again. This blog is my outlet to showcase the daily miracles that surround me in my blessed life as a stay-at-home mom so that I will never forget the wonder of it all.

MY HELPFUL BOY

Logan has a new job title, "Diaper hanger."  He's very good at it and it keeps him busy for a good while.  He wanted to help me one day and I just let him at it and he's been helping me ever since.  With all my kids being under 5, I rarely get help from them that is useful.  I LOVE their help, but most of the time, it means me going back and redoing their "help" later, which of course, I don't mind.  Logan is a very helpful kid and his newest job really IS a big help and he does it so well, I don't have to redo it.  Wow....I wonder what it will be like when they're all big enough to help................................. (daydreaming)

He's so cute.  He set up his little system all by himself.  He pulled the stool out of his bathroom to stand on,  and got his little chair to put the bucket of clothes pins on.  He jumps down, grabs a pin and a diaper, and then jumps back up to hang it.  So, not only is it helpful, its physical activity too.  Who knew hanging diapers could be so good for a 5 year old boy?
