After 5 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I found the wonder of mothering slowly starting to get crowded out by the mundane feeling. I realized our world seems to surround people with the negative, and complaining about blessings seems totally acceptable. So I decided to fight against that "normalcy" and focus only on the positive. I look back to my first year as a mom when everything was new and keeping house was fun and I aim to have that attitude again. This blog is my outlet to showcase the daily miracles that surround me in my blessed life as a stay-at-home mom so that I will never forget the wonder of it all.

Can't wait to sew these!!!

My friend, Ansley, shared the link to this pattern with me.  I have to admit, I HATE sewing with patterns.  Everything I sew is made up as I go and tweaked differently each time.  But I've been wanting to sew more for my boys and I just can't wait to sew Kian a whole bunch of these.  Sewing for Felicity is so easy but I'm excited to finally have something worth putting the time into for Kian.  Next, I need a good sewing project for Logan.  He wants me to sew him something out of Lightning McQueen material we saw at Wal Mart.  I'll have to get over the print.  Maybe some P.J. pants he won't leave the house in will work for that.  HA!
Anyways, these "Big Butt Baby Pants" are specifically made with cloth diapered little ones in mind because there's an extra panel in the back for their "junk in the trunk", as my sister calls it.  If you have a cloth diapered little one, or maybe just a little one with a little extra junk in the trunk, or heck, maybe both, you may want to check out this pattern.   I will post pics when I complete a pair but I can't promise that soon as I have a photo shoot to edit, a house in Summer disaster mode to overhaul (everything's being thrown out.....I really mean it this time), and homeschool starting in two weeks to prepare for.  Here's the link.  Maybe you can get some sewn before me.
