After 5 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I found the wonder of mothering slowly starting to get crowded out by the mundane feeling. I realized our world seems to surround people with the negative, and complaining about blessings seems totally acceptable. So I decided to fight against that "normalcy" and focus only on the positive. I look back to my first year as a mom when everything was new and keeping house was fun and I aim to have that attitude again. This blog is my outlet to showcase the daily miracles that surround me in my blessed life as a stay-at-home mom so that I will never forget the wonder of it all.

Ladybugs

One evening recently, we released ladybugs into our garden.

Lissy could hardly wait until dusk, which was when we were told to release them.
"Poking der heads out Mama!"

Kian was so excited, but didn't want to touch them.
Little did he know quite a few had befriended him and he carried them around not even knowing it.

Felicity LOVES bugs, especially lady bugs.  She let them crawl all over her.  They were on her neck, in her hair, on her arms, down her legs, and on her dress.  After we went inside for the night, I had to make quite a few ladybug rescues as I brushed her hair.  I think I ran ladybugs back outside about 5 or 6 times.

She just sat and patiently observed them, lending a finger when needed.

We hope they enjoyed our flowers before they flew away.
We enjoyed them.
