When I try to upload pictures to my blog it tells me I've used up the available storage in Picasa. I didn't even know they stored them in Picasa. Apparently I have to pay for a plan to continue to upload pics to my blog. I FINALLY found how to access my Picasa page I didn't know I had and tried to delete the stored pics but it said if I did this, they'd be removed from my blog.
Is there a way around this so I don't have to pay a yearly fee to keep up with my blog?
Does this happen when you blog at type pad?
Thanks. :)
After 5 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I found the wonder of mothering slowly starting to get crowded out by the mundane feeling. I realized our world seems to surround people with the negative, and complaining about blessings seems totally acceptable. So I decided to fight against that "normalcy" and focus only on the positive. I look back to my first year as a mom when everything was new and keeping house was fun and I aim to have that attitude again. This blog is my outlet to showcase the daily miracles that surround me in my blessed life as a stay-at-home mom so that I will never forget the wonder of it all.
Jenny, I have never heard of this, and I do blogger as well- and I've got a ton of photos on my blog. I'll ask my husband- he's a web developer.
ReplyDeletei have not heard of this either and have used blogger for a couple years now.
ReplyDeletesorry, i'm no help.
I got this same mesage about a week ago.. but I did have a picassa account and had a bunch of old pictures (not on my blog) that I deleted to give myself more space.
ReplyDeleteI know one of my friends pictures on blogger are tied in with her flcker account. Dont know the details, but worth looking into!
I had the same problem with Blogger and bit the bullet and paid the $5.
ReplyDeleteJake, that's so annoying. Did you find that the $5 plan gets you enough storage for a year? I don't understand why some people are charged and some aren't. ? Taryn, I only have blog pics on picasa so I can't clear any out.
ReplyDeleteI use blogger and upload photos from my hard drive. I don't use Picassa at all, so no issues.
ReplyDeleteJust go to upload then browse. The photos then live in the post rather than linked from somewhere else.
I don't know about the Picasa album, but I do know you have limited storage on your blog itself. I think it is 1 GB free and for the 5$ a year you get 5GB or something like that, It took me three years to reach 1 GB so I think the 5$ will get you all the space you need for a long time.
