After 5 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I found the wonder of mothering slowly starting to get crowded out by the mundane feeling. I realized our world seems to surround people with the negative, and complaining about blessings seems totally acceptable. So I decided to fight against that "normalcy" and focus only on the positive. I look back to my first year as a mom when everything was new and keeping house was fun and I aim to have that attitude again. This blog is my outlet to showcase the daily miracles that surround me in my blessed life as a stay-at-home mom so that I will never forget the wonder of it all.

"Queen Lucy" Hearts Nova

Meet Queen Lucy

Queen Lucy, in her garden crown, will turn 4 in two months!
The planning has begun.
You may think it odd to plan two months in advance but this Mama likes to hand make the kids' gifts so I'm actually feeling a bit like I'm pushing it with only two months left.

Today, after playing in the water and shedding clothes (the kids, not me)  :) to try to deal with our over 100 degree heat, Felicity decided to make a wish list.

So she got her favorite catalog.
Nova
which is in tatters.

She wished...

...and wished...

...and wished some more.

Then she pointed out to me the things she wants most.

A Waldorf doll?
 How interesting!  :)
It just so happens we've BOTH been wanting a Waldorf doll....for quite a while.  And it just so happens that a doll making kit with all the supplies I need to make her one is currently being shipped here now.  :)
(Before she saw the redheaded doll, she first pointed to the doll being held by the cute little blond, who just so happens to be my blog friend's cutie son.)  :)

Got it Mama?
