After 5 years of being a stay-at-home mom, I found the wonder of mothering slowly starting to get crowded out by the mundane feeling. I realized our world seems to surround people with the negative, and complaining about blessings seems totally acceptable. So I decided to fight against that "normalcy" and focus only on the positive. I look back to my first year as a mom when everything was new and keeping house was fun and I aim to have that attitude again. This blog is my outlet to showcase the daily miracles that surround me in my blessed life as a stay-at-home mom so that I will never forget the wonder of it all.

Spring Love

I love this time of year!!!!!!

This is the time of year where so much is going on in the garden.  Sometimes we ask the kids to help with specific garden jobs, but other times, Zac and I are working hard and they just get sucked in and want to help.  That's what happened Sunday when I started puttering in the garden.

I was puttering away and next thing I knew, Zac and the kids were clearing out the upper bed by the pond.

They all love getting their hands on Daddy's power tools!

Here's the fruits of their labor.  A nice empty bed with lots of veggie real estate.

My favorite old rusted out wheel barrow (which I got out of a dumpster years ago....ahem) has finally bit the dust.  The handle finally snapped off.  But I couldn't just throw this treasure out!  So Kian and Lissy helped me make it into a flower bed.  Felicity had made flower seed tape at her kids church club this week so that was planted, as well as some baby gourds to spill over the edge, and lots of Calendula.  I can't wait for them to see their seeds grow!

The garden is my therapy.  I am most at peace in it.  And I truly LOVE nothing more than when my children ask to help out in the garden.  It brings me so much joy!
